NOTE: The British Artiques Roadshow appraisal event will not be recorded or filmed other than through the voluntary attendance of the Canadian media and that we are not affiliated in any way to the BBC. All appraisals are private and confidential matters unless permitted otherwise by the client. Written appraisals will not be given. There is NO restriction on the number of items any one person can bring in for appraisal, however all appraisals will be charged for separately. A limited number of private home visits may be available. The roadshow hosts will put you in touch with us if you ask.

*Please note: The British Artiques Roadshow's appraisers DO NOT and WILL NOT appraise the following items and categories of antiques and collectibles as they are considered either inappropriate to bring in to the show, beyond their personal levels of professional expertise to comment upon, or specifically illegal to purchase or trade:
Specific antiques and collectibles appraisal exclusions include:
Weapons and weaponry of any kind: NO Guns, knives, swords, bayonets, arrowheads, cannon, spears or ammunition, live or otherwise. These items are absolutely inappropriate to bring into a public place. Dolls, Toys and Teddy Bears - Orientalia, Decoys and Aboriginal Cultural Items Nor Textiles including; Linens- blankets, quilts, carpets, clothes or costumery & masks. These are not within the appraisers professional specialisms and require specific professional expertise. Large Collections; such as Stamps, Coins, Autographs, Baseball, Hockey, Cigarette cards etc. These would take far too long to accurately assess and are excluded due to time constraints. No Precious Jewellery and Gem stones, ie; diamonds, emeralds & precious metals such as gold, platinum etc. This area requires a fully qualified Gemologists expertise. No Jade, Pewter items or Bone items of any kind. Ancient Cultural or ethnic artefacts. Large or Upholstered Furniture (Small furniture can be appraised only, due to capacity restrictions at the venue) SORRY: ITEMS CANNOT BE APPRAISED FROM PHOTOGRAPHS No Ivory and No Nazi ephemera or Nazi related items what so ever.
