GI Joe shows up at Prairie Mall:

This time in the guise of a fine young man from Grande Prairie called Matthew Hein, a great lover of modern history and extremely proud of his Great Uncle who fought on the Normandy Beachead in the Allied campaign of August 1944.

Mathew collects Militaria like this US GI's helmet his Uncle brought back from France and the Canadian combat equipment he has assembled.

Matthew now has clear ideas for the future and intends to pursue his love of collecting by one day to see for himself where his Great Uncle fought alongside his comrades.

In sight just ahead of him, Matthew is aiming for a career in the Canadian Military. Just the sort of man his Uncle and all Canadians would be proud of.

Good Luck Matthew, look for the missing webbing for that helmet and keep your head down.

Jennifer Feeisen is fortunate enough to have inherited some fine watercolours by Henry John Sylvester Stannard. (British) a particular favourite artist of the Queens parents HRH King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

Join the BRITISH ARTIQUES ROADSHOW in the city of Grande Prairie on a brand new antiques appraisal roadshow event tour of Canada with the British Artiques roadshow returning to Alberta, May 20th and 21st  2011.

This is our ONLY roadshow scheduled in northern Alberta on this cross Canada appraisal roadshow tour.

See Below: Canadian roadshow tour appraisal event dates & details for spring  2011

The antique and art experts of the British Artiques roadshow are back in Canada again this spring with the ever popular Canadian specialist roadshow tour of antiques and collectibles appraisals events going right across Canada from coast to coast and Grande Prairie hasn't been missed out thanks to Grande Prairie's community minded management team at Prairie Mall.

Spectacular sell out Canadian antiques roadshow style events are expected again this year across the country, with expert antiques and art appraisal roadshows starting on the east coast at the end of April before heading west to British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba and on into Ontario.

The roadshows expert appraisers are particularly delighted to be back in Alberta at the invitation of the Prairie Mall in in Grande Prairie, for a special two day roadshow antiques and art appraisal show. As this is the only roadshow scheduled in the north of the province of Alberta on this Canadian tour, the roadshow is expected to sell out rapidly and bring in people to Prairie Mall from all over the province.

Remember, the Prairie Mall roadshow event is by appointment only to avoid long queues and disappointment and booking a spot is essential.

2004 British roadshow antiques appraisals

Roadshow Art and Antiques Roadshow

With well over a decade of hugely successful antiques roadshow appraisal events across Canada behind us, the British Artiques roadshow and its expert art and antiques appraisers are always pleased to be asked back to Canada for another tour of antique appraisal roadshows across the Dominion and in particular we look forward to a great roadshow of antiques appraisals hosted by the Prairie Mall for the Grande Prairie community this May.

For many years, the roadshow organisers have tried to fit the city of Grande Prairie into the busy antiques roadshow event schedule without success. This year we are delighted that the Prairie Mall management team responded so swiftly and offered to bring the British Artiques roadshow to Grande Prairie for a special two day roadshow appraisal event and that Prairie Malll are hosting the roadshow for the  benefit of the city of Grande Prairie and their community this May 20th & 21st.

The roadshow team are convinced that with such a strong contingent of the Grande Prairie community having their ancestral roots firmly planted in Britain and Europe that Prairie Mall Shopping Centre will abound in treasures and family heirlooms that people are just itching to learn about.

Interested parties should recognise that we have no affiliation or connection to the BBC television series and that all appraisals are private and confidential matters and will not be filmed by us. However, it is quite normal that the event is likely to attract local media attention, such as journalists and news crews. Under those conditions alone, your permission may be sought for interview which you are perfectly at liberty to decline.

Over the years, Canadian communities have turned out to the British Artiques roadshow antiques appraisal events in their thousands for antiques, art and collectibles appraisals at packed roadshow venues across the Dominion. In fact ever since the first ever British Artiques roadshow was hosted twelve years ago in Ontario, we have been packed with eager Canadian's yearning to know about their precious belongings.

Roadshow antiques and art appraisal events are always sold out early here in Canada with Canadians keen to find out whether Grannies heirloom is just trash or treasure. The roadshow's organisers and appraisers are sure that the Prairie Mall, antiques and art appraisal roadshow event will be just as successful as it ever was.

Frankly, its nearly always a treasure of one kind or another that the Roadshow appraiser sees and with nearly $60 Million dollars worth of Roadshow antiques and collectibles showing up already across Canada, the British Artiques roadshow is looking forward to coming back to Prairie Mall in Grande prairie Alberta to unravel some more myths and legends, appraise and value family heirlooms for the Grande Prairie community and hopefully help and advise you professionally, entertainingly and without bias or prejudice.

With the information already leaked that the Artiques roadshow was coming to Grande Prairie and the Prairie Mall this spring, we're told that the word is already getting around and that the phone will start to ring loud at the Prairie Mall and appointments for booking your antiques appraisal will sell out rapidly.

The whole roadshow team thanks Prairie Mall its management and parent company Morgard for being the only northern Alberta host of a roadshow on the new Canadian Artiques roadshow Tour for 2011.
